A cedar-clad garden room with corner bifolds and a wraparound composite deck, a true extra room in the garden.
A growing family needed usable space the house couldn't give them, somewhere to work, relax and entertain that worked just as well in January as in July. The brief was a standalone garden room with the look and build quality of a contemporary new-build.
An engineered base and insulated timber frame went in first, followed by full PIR insulation, a warm roof and a breathable membrane. The shell was then clad in Western Red Cedar, with a frameless corner bifold opening the room onto the garden.
Certified electrics, a composite deck and warranted workmanship throughout, all delivered by our own carded team.
The completed room reads as a crisp cedar box with anthracite glazing and a stepped composite deck that ties it back into the garden. Light floods in through the corner bifold, and the insulated build keeps it comfortable all year.
Insulated timber frame and full PIR board, the difference between a shed and a room.
Breathable membrane and Western Red Cedar over a warm, weather-tight shell.
Composite deck, corner bifold and a finished room handed over ready to use.
