A full structural conversion, turning unused roof space into warm, insulated living accommodation, capped with a warranted flat roof.
Rather than build out into the garden, the answer here was up: converting an underused roof space into a fully habitable floor, and reworking the existing structure to open it up and bring it to current building standards.
Structural steel was installed to carry the new layout, with the entire envelope lined in EcoTherm insulation board, walls and vaulted ceilings alike, for a warm, efficient space that meets current regulations.
The extension was finished with a seamless, fully-bonded GRP warm flat roof, a hard-wearing, fully waterproof system with no joints or seams, built up over insulation and detailed neatly into the existing roofline.
