A tired exterior given a sharp, contemporary identity, new roofline, restored detailing and rebuilt brickwork, transforming the kerb appeal of a family home.
A substantial detached home with great bones but a tired exterior, weathered brown fascias and soffits, faded mock-Tudor boarding and herringbone brick panels that had started to fail.
The brief wasn't to rebuild, but to re-skin: a crisp, modern colour scheme and restored detailing to bring the whole frontage up to date.
Scaffolded throughout, we stripped and replaced the full roofline, fascias, soffits and guttering renewed in contemporary black, and renewed the mock-Tudor boarding to match.
Where the decorative herringbone brick panels had blown, we cut them out and rebuilt them brick by brick, re-bedding and pointing to a clean, consistent finish.
The finished house reads as a completely different property, the black roofline and boarding frame the warm red brick, the rebuilt herringbone panels are crisp again, and the whole elevation looks sharp, modern and cared-for.
A transformation achieved through finish and detail, not demolition.
Old brown fascias, soffits and guttering removed back to sound timber.
New black fascias, soffits, guttering and restored mock-Tudor boarding.
Herringbone panels rebuilt and the elevation finished clean throughout.
