A contemporary garden room built from the ground up, engineered, insulated and clad to the standard of a permanent home extension.
The client wanted a generous, contemporary garden room they could use all year, bright, warm and low-maintenance, with the clean lines of a modern build rather than a timber cabin.
We took it on as a full ground-up project: foundations, structure, weatherproofing, cladding, glazing and a plastered interior ready to decorate.
An insulated timber frame on an OSB-sheathed structure was set out on a level base, with deep roof joists creating a single, clean mono-pitch. The whole roof was finished in a seamless EPDM rubber membrane, a fully bonded, jointless system built to last decades.
Full insulation to walls, floor and roof means it stays comfortable in every season.
The exterior was wrapped in low-maintenance composite woodgrain cladding in a soft grey, framed by an anthracite roof trim and matching aluminium French doors and full-height windows.
The result reads as a sharp, modern pavilion, no painting, no warping, just a clean finish that holds its looks year after year.
Insulated timber frame and roof joists set out, with openings formed for glazing.
Fully insulated, boarded and plastered inside, a finished room, not a shed.
Composite cladding and anthracite aluminium doors and windows installed.
